Are you checking your tax and National Insurance Contributions (NIC) on each of your payslips?…
Let’s get active this March and spread awareness for mental health charity, Mind. Whether you want to walk, swim, run or dance your way to 100 miles, get involved with the challenge and help raise money for a fantastic cause. Carry on reading to find out more about 100 Miles In March!
What is 100 Miles In March?
Mind is encouraging everyone to get 100 miles under their belt in March in the battle for better mental health.
How can I get involved?
Getting involved with the fundraiser is easy and free of charge! Complete the registration form and decide whether to fundraise through JustGiving or Facebook. You will then be asked to set up a fundraising page. Once you’ve completed this stage, Mind will send you an official t-shirt and a tracker. If you manage to raise £150, you will also receive a congratulatory medal!
Facebook users – make sure to get involved with the 100 Miles in March for Mind 2024 Facebook page so you can share your progress with other participants and support one another throughout the month.
What activities count?
As long as you complete the 100 miles, it’s pretty much down to you how you do them! For example you might choose to:
- Walk: Try walking to work or getting off the bus that bit earlier to get those steps in.
- Run: A great choice for those who want to up their running game – grab your water and your favourite playlist and you’re off!
- Swim: More of a water baby? Get those laps in at your local leisure centre.
- Cycle: On your bike!
- Skip: Grab your friends and go skipping through the park (it’s even more fun as an adult, believe us!).
- Dance: Murder on the Dancefloor is back in the charts…so no excuses not to get your boogie on.
Why should I take part?
Mental health problems are at an all-time high, and we need to come together to support those struggling. In the UK alone, 1 in 4 of us will face a mental health problem this year. The money you raise will help fund Mind to keep campaigning for better mental health support and services.
Here at Mint Umbrella, we believe mental health should be a priority. If your mental health is starting to have an impact on your day-to-day life, please make an appointment with your GP who will be able to help you.
